Today in the meeting with the journalists the head of the Caucasus Institute Aleksandr Iskandaryan told after the parliamentary elections the political life in Armenia changed. It is the first time in the history of the country that all the political powers including opposition are in the parliament and the politics has shifted towards the parliament from the street.
Iskandaryan talked about Tsarukyan’s appearance in the political life of the country who had a potential to make a difference but it did not happen. The political analyst stated Serzh Sargsyan today does not have an opponent who would be capable of leading an equal struggle for the power and no such power will be seen up to the presidential elections because such things do not happen within a couple of months.
Iskandaryan talked about the ANC and stated it has 3 options: one – not having any candidate at all, second – Levon Ter-Petrosyan being the candidate and third – having another candidate which will try to mobilize the public resource which will maximum get 11-12% votes. Iskandaryan also did not exclude ANC supporting Bagratyan’s candidacy.
