On May 13 of this year, the Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia (PSRC) received Rafael Anoto, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER), and Armin Bium, the CEER representative in Armenia.
During the meeting, issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of joint programs were discussed. The parties attached importance to exchanging experience in the energy sector and to expanding international cooperation. The discussion also touched on the importance of the PSRC’s institutional independence as a key prerequisite for effective, transparent regulation.
CEER representatives noted that Armenia is one of the organization’s priority partner directions and expressed their willingness to continue active cooperation. PSRC Chairman Mesrop Mesropyan emphasized that the events and professional discussions planned within the framework of bilateral cooperation, given that the CEER Armenian office is located within the PSRC, are expedient to organize in Armenia, thereby deepening sectoral dialogue and regional cooperation. At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their willingness to continue developing their cooperation, emphasizing the importance of strengthening an effective partnership in energy regulation.
