Starting from July 1 this year, the ‘Stop’ tool is available in Armeconombank’s AEB Mobile/AEB Online systems. It is designed to prevent financial fraud in the online environment and applies to individual customers, as well as individual entrepreneurs and legal entities.
The ‘Stop’ tool enables users to block access to either all or specific banking services.
To block access to services using the ‘Stop’ tool, you need to:
- Log in to AEB Mobile,
- Select the ‘Stop’ tool on the main page,
- Choose to block all services or a specific service,
- Confirm the blocking.
The ‘Stop’ tool is applicable to the following services:
- Money transfers and payments,
- Card transactions,
- Credit operations,
- Deposits,
- Other services.
Upon executing the ‘Confirm” command, the service is blocked immediately – within a maximum of 60 seconds. After activating the ‘Stop’ tool, you will receive a confirmation notification via email.
To unblock the services, you must apply to the Bank’s Head Office or any branch. Unblocking is processed within a maximum of 24 hours.
The implementation of the ‘Stop’ tool is prescribed by Regulation 8/09, “Minimum Requirements for the Implementation of Consumer Self- Restriction Instruments for Financial Services ” approved by the Central Bank of Armenia on February 24, 2026, which entered into force on July 1, 2026. The regulation defines the minimum requirements for the implementation, activation, and termination of “stop” tools for services provided remotely by financial institutions.
