The 5th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova, hosted in Baku, stated that the unresolved conflicts in the GUAM area pose a safety risk across Europe.
“GUAM Parliamentary Assembly expresses its extreme concern about the lack of progress in resolving protracted conflicts in the GUAM area, including the present situation in these conflicts, which, in turn, is a threat not only to the GUAM member states, but also to the whole Europe,” the document says.
The Parliamentary Assembly expresses support for deepening the development of closer relations with the EU, including in the framework of the Eastern Partnership, taking into account the individual characteristics and aspirations of each member state of GUAM
