Iran’s Defence Minister Ahmad Vahidi said that the real winner of the bloodshed in Syria is Israel who sits in a corner watching the Syrian people being killed by terrorists, Fars News Agency reported on Dec 18.
Vahidi said Syria is the resistance frontier against Zionists and Israel is now quietly eyeing the clashes in Syria. The internal war between Bashar Assad government and opposition rebels has been on-going since January 2011, leaving over 30, 000 dead. Iran and Russia are the Syrian government’s major allies.
