Azerbaijani media recalls that on December 15, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Fizuli hydroelectric power plant.
As reported, while having a speech in Fizuli region, Azerbaijani president talked about Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict:
“According to their own official statistics, every year more than 100,000 people leave the country. Hopelessness, tyranny, poverty and economic decline are features that distinguish Armenia from other countries. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan is developing, and our development is long-term and sustainable. Once again I want to say that as a result of the taken actions, Azerbaijan today has become the leading country in the region. Over the years, the gap between Armenia and Azerbaijan will deepen – both in the economic, military and demographic fields.
The number of our population is growing, while the population is Armenia is shrinking” Aliyev expressed confidence that Azerbaijan will restore its territorial integrity and added “There are a number of key factors that allow saying so – economic opportunity, our international position, international law and the power of the Azerbaijani army. I’m sure, and I want to say again that after the end of the occupation, all the presently captured lands will become more beautiful. Landscaping and new enterprises will be established there”.
