On December 13, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Deputy Foreign Minister, Swiss Secretary of State Yves Rocher.
Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian expressed satisfaction with the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Switzerland during the twenty years of high-level political dialogue.
The foreign minister added that the two countries’ presidents’ official visits on April and May, 2011, regular contact with the foreign ministers greatly contributed to the development of active cooperation.
Deputy Foreign Minister, Swiss Secretary of State Yves Rocher said that his country attaches great importance to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with Armenia.
According to the press office of the RA MFA, during the meeting they discussed issues related to the expansion of bilateral cooperation, exchanged views on cooperation in a wide range of international organizations between Armenia and Switzerland, and activities of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Armenia.
They also touched upon regional and international security issues, and the Minister Nalbandian informed his guest about the Armenia’s position on the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and the recent developments.
