President of “New Times” political party, Aram Karapetyan, gave an interview to the First News and Analyses and the main topic of discussion was Gagik Tsarukyan’s decision and the upcoming presidential elections.
“It seems that Gagik Tsarukyan took the same step that we did. They boycott the elections. Some people understand the idea in different way, as if we urge voters not to vote at all. It isn’t called boycott, we just think that participating in the election is baseless that’s why we boycott it” said Karapetyan.
To the question whether it is possible that he will change his decision and participate in the elections, Karapetyan responded:
“There are no elections in Armenia. They are violated, Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan, along with Gagik Mukuchyan, will “paint” the needed number of voters for the authorities.”
Concerning Tsarukyan’s decision, Karapetyan said that it was bad for Sargsyan and couldn’t have been an order from Sargsyan.
“Some half million votes can’t be violated. It will be difficult for Sargsyan to steal the votes. However, I should stress that the political intrigue of Armenian presidential elections is ended” said Karapetyan.
