On December 10, the delegation led by the Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan visited NATO headquarters.
The MFA press office informed “First News and Analyses” that in the framework of the visit Minister Yeritsyan met with the chief of the NATO’s operations division, NATO’s Assistant of Secretary General, Ambassador Stephen Evans. The meeting was also attended by the RA Head of Mission in the NATO, Ambassador Armen Yedigaryan.
During the meeting the sides discussed the issues of planning emergency situations, RA-NATO cooperation in the areas of crisis management. Minister Yeritsyan presented in detail activities and future plans for the creation of a crisis management center in Armenia.
On the same day took place the “Allies + Armenia + Partners” meeting format, which is by its very nature the first event initiated and organized by the Republic of Armenia. The session was attended by about 40 representatives of the Allies and Partner countries. RA Minister of Emergency Situations issued a report, by presenting the activities of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations and works for the creation of Crisis Management Center in Armenia.
