During Christmas holidays CEC will work by its daily working schedule with shifts. This was reported by the CEC President Tigran Mukuchyan. He noted that one of the biggest problems was connected with ink, which was observed both in parliamentary and local elections. He said that the British company, preparing ink, informed about the problems and tested on 10 samples.
CEC president stressed the importance of the qualification and training process of people, included in district and precinct electoral commissions.
Speaking of the lists of electors, the CEC president said. “I think it is not appropriate to apply the term “swelling”, because we have to deal with the compilation technology. Visa Department covers the lists. We use the data from the registry.”
Tigran Mukuchyan assured that the voters’ list is very close to be ideal. “We had very few cases, when a person comes to the electoral district and his name misses. Of course, voter lists are constantly being adjusted.”
As for the offers of the “Heritage” and the ANC parties to make amendments to the Electoral Code, the CEC president considered them incomplete.
