Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Azerbaijani people in connection with the decision to hold the European Olympic Games for the first time in Baku in 2015.
According to our sources, in his congratulatory message the President said that this historic date and it is a great success of Azerbaijan.
Thanking the European Olympic Committee, Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan will hold the European Olympic games on the high level.
“In making this decision several factors played role. First is the international authority of Azerbaijan. Today our country is highly respected in the world. Azerbaijan is treated with great respect and trust, “- said the President of Azerbaijan.
The head of the country also stressed the importance of economic success in the decision.
Noting that that only 2 years are left to prepare Azerbaijan for the European Olympics, Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that the training and the games will be on the high level.
