Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with representatives of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation “Dashnaktsutyun” and spoke out against the agenda of the party, concerning the country’s transition to a parliamentary system of government and the Armenian-Turkish protocols. This was reported by the ARF party representative Hrant Margaryan, who took part in the meeting with the head of state on December 8.
According to Margaryan, the meeting with the president is one of the working meetings of the party. ARF party representative said that Serzh Sargsyan was against two points- on the transition to a parliamentary system of government and the Armenian-Turkish protocols. According to Margaryan, Sargsyan said that he has taken the right steps in relation with Armenian-Turkish protocols, and as for the parliamentary system of government the problem does not lie in the change of the system. ARF member said that it was agreed to meet again in order to try to persuade Sargsyan in the rightness of their claims.
