On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, in the framework of the U.S. Embassy’s initiatives, the U.S. Deputy Assistant of State Secretary on issues of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Affairs Thomas Melia will be in Armenia December 13-15. He will review the issues of human rights and democracy together with the high-ranking official of Armenia, political leaders and representatives of civil society.
U.S. Embassy’s press service reported that the international human rights day symbolizes that struggle for people regardless of race, sex, nationality, religious affiliation, sexual orientation or physical condition is still continuing. On International Human Rights Day we reaffirm our common fundamental values and pursue our own will and readiness.
