While Armenian delegation, led by capital city Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, was in Lyon, France, at the invitation of Lyon Mayor, Senator Gérard Collomb, besides attending the events being organized within the framework of the Lyon Festival of Lights 2012, held several meetings as well.
As reported, on December 8 Margaryan met with Lyon Mayor, Senator Gérard Collomb and the sides stressed that this meeting will more strengthen the relations between two countries.
French Mayor appreciated his Armenian counterpart for accepting the invitation and coming to France, noting that it is already 20 years since the cities cooperate with each other.
The source informs that Armenian Mayor met with Armenian community in France and taking advantage of the opportunity, Margaryan awarded medal to Lyon Mayor for having great impact in the relations of the cities.
After the official meeting, Mayor Margaryan invited Collomb to Armenia.
