Azerbaijani media, citing country’s Foreign Ministry, reports that Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met Director of the Continental Europe Department at the French Foreign Ministry Eric Fournier.
As reported, Mammadyarov spoke of the 19th OSCE Ministerial Council held in Dublin on December 5-7.
FM noted the developing cooperation with the European Union was one of the key priorities for Azerbaijan and the sides also discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO.
While talking on security issues, the Minister said the fact that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict still remained unsolved was the main source of threat in the region.
The sides noted that it is important to organize meetings between the Armenian and Azerbaijani communities of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as part of efforts to ensure the settlement of the Karabakh problem.
