Davit Babayan, the press secretary of the Nagorno Karabakh (NK) president, stated it is early to expect a change from the OSCE MG announcement made in Dublin during the 19th session.
Babayan stated that change is impossible because of the Azerbaijani politics and the recent announcement is positive in the sense that it urges the parties to preserve at least the status quo.
Scrupulously referring to the announcement, the press secretary highlighted the Helsinki final act conclusions which, according to him, are aimed at the exclusion of the use of force, territorial integrity and the need to watch the right of the nations to be self-determined.
Babayan reminded the OSCE MG session took place in Dublin at the MFAs’ meeting session during which an announcement was declared dealing with the NK conflict resolution and was stressing the necessity to restrain from the use of force.
