“The city is ours” civic initiative’s made an announcement to the government of the RA in which it particularly referred to the 1988 Spitak earthquake. The organization alarms that even though a number of reconstructive processes have been made, there are still 2.700 families who live in unbearable conditions and more than 1600 who have no place to live. 47% of the Gymri population is poor.
The initiators of state this announcement is addressed to the NA of the RA, the president and the government.
There are a number of demands the initiative has set for mainly to provide the people living in bad conditions with flats and to provide the families with apartments for the upcoming 2 years.
Alternative assistance is also encouraged, as the organizers state, like giving the families willing to make up their houses cheaper materials for the reconstruction.
