Azerbaijani Trend News Agency reports that OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, while meeting in Dublin, passed a statement on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution.
As reported, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and France’s European Affairs Minister Bernard Kazeneev urged both Armenia and Azerbaijan to show a political will for solving the conflict in peaceful way. “Based on the statement made by president of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Dovel, 2011, we again urge the sides to take decisive steps in order to achieve a peaceful settlement. We regret that a quick peaceful resolution can’t be made on the issue but we urge them to negotiate with each other. Instead of finding a way to understand each other, the sides criticize one another and it brings tension in the region and among nations. They shouldn’t forget that in thte past they used to be good neighbors but not enemies. By using military forces the problem won’t be solved. We welcome the willingness of foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan who want to negotiate with each other. However, the final word belongs to them, they are to decide what to do we can only support them to reach a peaceful agreement” said the co-chairs.
