Azerbaijani media, citing the announcement of OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier, reports that the situation with Nagorno-Karabakh conflict really causes serious concern.
“I do hope that the Foreign Ministers will meet in Dublin and will find common language to make a joint statement with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and thus move forth” said Zannier , adding “In the current climate even such a small step is very important for maintenance of the process of settlement but it is no less important to move forth especially considering the upcoming presidential elections in both Armenia and Azerbaijan”.
According to him, the sides need to demonstrate a political will to attain peace agreement through negotiations as well as for effective fulfillment of undertaken commitments.
In the end Zannier stressed that t is also necessary to develop contacts between peoples by the help of civil society and mass media to assist formation of essential atmosphere of trust.
