NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen called the upcoming presidential elections in Georgia another important test for the country.
“In October, Georgia passed an important exam. It was able to hold free, fair and democratic elections. Presidential elections in the next year will be another important test for Georgia “- Rasmussen said.
NATO Secretary General also called on all political forces to work together in order to “save the taken speed.”
“We urge all parties to work together to keep the taken speed, to be able to conduct the necessary reforms and to achieve the highest standards of democracy, including full respect for the rule of law and the constitution. All this is vital for the Georgian people and the future of Georgia”- said NATO Secretary General.
According to him, Georgia is an important and motivated to be involved and the alliance remains committed to close relations with it.
