March 1 victims’ relatives are going to apply to the court to bring to justice those who distorted the historical facts in the “History of Armenia” text book.
ne of the March 1 victims Tigran Khachatryan’s mother Alla Hovhannisyan said they will discuss with the lawyers the issue of the dean of YSU faculty of History Edik Minasyan who disfigured the whole historical facts of March 1 events with his text book “History of Armenia”.
Hovhannisyan said even the temporary commission on March 1st events who made up a atory far from being objective did not have so much fraudulences in it as Edik Minasyan’s text book. As an example, she brought the phrase “mutual gun firing” which was used in the textbook while no report has any phrase remotely resembling “mutual gun firing” phrase. Hovhannisyan states Minasyan along with distorting the history added phrases that did not exist to please Baghramyan 26.
Hovhannisyan concluded Minasyan must publicly apologize for his misinformation that will pass from generation to generation and that he will sooner or later be responsible for what he wrote. They will not restrain from suing those responsible for the text book.
