In his meeting with the journalists the president of the “New Times” political party Aram Karapetyan stated Azerbaijan tries to lead a diversified politics. On the one hand it turns to NATO, on the other hand – to Russian.
According to the politician, Azerbaijan understands the increasing role of Russia in the region and that is the reason Azerbaijani political calculations are determined by this factor.
In the same meeting, the former MFA of Nagorno Karanakh Arman Melikyan told Russia has always sold weaponry to Azerbaijan and this is not a new phenomenon. The diplomat added Azerbaijan needs the cooperation with Russia now.
