Armen Ashotyan and his delegation arrived at Strasbourg to participate in the second regional meeting of the ministers of education in the project on the confirmation of the European higher education spectrum. As the press service of MFA informs, the same day Ashotyan and the permanent representative of Armenia to the EU Armen Papikyan met with the European Council General Secretary Torbjorn Jagland.
Ashotyan highlighted the significance of the educational system integration into the EU standards which will complement to the strengthening of the Bolognian system of education and presented the steps and reforms Armenian educational system does to achieve the targeted results.
Jagland expressed his content on the educational reforms and ameliorations Armenia has undertaken and expressed his willingness to support any positive changes. During the meeting other political issues were discussed.
