Georgian media reports that leaders of the Georgian parliamentary majority, who are on a visit to Strasbourg, will ask the Council of Europe to begin monitoring internal political processes in the country.
As reported, Tina Khidasheli and Tedo Japaridze met with the secretaries general of the Council of Europe and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
The main topic of discussion was problems surrounding the transition period. Georgian MPs appealed to the Council of Europe to start monitoring political processes in the country.
During the visit, Khidasheli and Japaridze also met with the Commissioner for Human Rights and the leadership of the Venice Commission.
