On the third quarter of 2012, the court examined 93 criminal cases of corruption, against 132 persons, 124 of whom were sentenced to imprisonment. This was reported by the spokeswoman of the Prosecutor General Sona Truzyan, noting that 52 out of 127 persons or 40.9% of convicted were officials.
Material damage of the crimes of all the criminal cases heard at the court amounted to 1 billion 448 million 361 thousand AMD, 1 billion 368 million 850 thousand AMD of which was the damage to the state. Material damage caused to the state is restored for 429 million 464 thousand AMD or 31.3%.
The department of the RA chief prosecutor of corruption and organized crime department received 17 criminal cases, in 16 of which 15 persons were sentenced to imprisonment, and 3 were fined, so the imprisonment rate was 83.3%.
