Georgian media reports that all offices of Tbilisi electricity distribution company Telasi, owned by the Russian company RAO UES were closed in Tbilisi on Tuesday, November 20.
As reported, all the employees of the company, except those who ensure supply of electricity to the city and emergency crews, went on strike.
The general strike in the company started in support of seven former employees of the company, who went on hunger strike already for a week. They are demanding reemployment of Telasi company’s 125 employees, who were fired in the summer of 2012.
Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze will today meet with strikers.
