By the end of the year secondary school textbooks will be online and will be posted on the website of National Center for Educational Technologies of the Ministry of Education, http://lib.armedu.am. This was reported by the Director of the National Center for Educational Technologies Artak Poghosyan, noting that the children, who do not have a textbook, will be able to download free textbook and learn their lessons.
“Talks are going on with textbook publishers for copyright protection, after which textbooks will be available on the web,” said A. Poghosyan, noting that some of the books can be found on the website. The purpose of the electronic database of educational resources is to create a common area of educational resources, which will be replenished with new literature.
There will be not only school textbooks, but also educational and methodical manuals and other materials, as well as letters and articles, on-line education literature. Future students can also perform exercises there and prepare for entrance exams.
It should be noted that today, November 19, there was the presentation of “Resource Database” website (http://lib.armedu.am). The site was created as result of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Science and “VivaCell-MTS”.
