Artist Arman Grigoryan in the conversation with “First News and Analyses” referring to the expected in 2008 Cultural Revolution by the artists and intellectuals, said that from time to time it stops, but it still continues.
“I think that the process of cultural revolution, which began in 1991, after the declaration of independence, stopped in 1998, as there was a setback because of the reactionary forces. In 2008, the Cultural Revolution began again.”
Asked whether the union and support of a single candidate by the ANC and “Prosperous Armenia” will lead the country to a revolution and regime change, he said, “I myself thought in 2009 that the PAP is a party, where people of the bourgeois mentality are gathered. And it is clear that it cannot be a revolutionary. Revolutionary in the sense that we had inherited from the Communist Party and the Revolutionary party, revolution as an armed rebellion.
PAP, of course, is not an armed rebellion party. But being a bourgeois, I think it should have wanted and actually wants the Cultural Revolution, started in 2008, to continue.
Since 2009, I thought that the PAP will surely pass to the side of the Congress, because it was a party consisting of bourgeois elements. If there is a category, then he should be in opposition. If there is a category, then it should be in the opposition.
In general I do not think that in the presidential election only the ANC and the PAP will come together, it is also possible ARF to join them.” concluded the artist.
