Gagik Makaryan, president of Armenian Union of Employers, today had a press conference and talked about Armenian economy. According to him, the main problem of Armenian economy was and still is the issue concerning with companies. He also added that loans and leasing issues are also very important factors for developing economy.
“I think that the main problem that Armenian economy faces so many problems is connected with Armenian officials who are involved in the business. Another problem is the corruption which exists in our country and it also negatively affects country’s development,” said Makaryan adding “5 billion dollars is needed in order to recover Armenian Economy but that money should be used very carefully.” Makaryan in the end stressed that loans and leasing issues are also very important since Armenia provides them with high percentage, 14 %, which can’t support the businessman to put the money in his business and return the loan with such high percentages.
