Speaking about the upcoming presidential elections the sociology Arthur Atanesyan stated there is apathy among the people in the country before the elections not because of the passive political life but because of the absence of the alternatives in the latter.
Atanesyan thinks this apathy is mostly predetermined by the inextricable situation people see themselves and the disbelief that anything will get better. This apathy is very dangerous as Ayanesyan goes on because it may bring to a disorganized, negative and destructive behavior of the society. People do not have any hopes because they see the government and the opposition both have their own life, while the society lives a different one. The reason for this the sociology states is in the core understanding that whatever goes on in the political life in Armenia has nothing to do with people and that is the reason so many people leave and those who stay try to solve their issues on their own.
