Aram Sargsyan, president of “Republic” political party gave an interview to “Aravot.am” and talked about PAP’s policy and upcoming presidential elections.
Sargsyan made a prediction concerning the outcome of PAP’s negotiations with other political parties, including Republican Party.
“As I know both Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan and other political figures who are involved in the discussion for changing the governmental system, I can predict that it won’t be surprise if you hear that PAP will support Serzh Sargsyan. Armenian President can make an announcement saying the after being reelected, he will change the governmental system, he will put the issue on the NA agenda and the MPs will vote. President Sargsyan will say that if they support him they should vote for the new project, so the new system will be accepted. In this way PAP will be satisfied and support current President. The same thing I can say for ARF. They will do the same thing which they did in 2003 and 2008. Sargsyan will promise to make the offered changes and the ARF will also support Serzh Sargsyan. This is all we have in our country” said Aram Sarsgyan.
To the question what he thinks concerning PAP-ANC cooperation, he responded:
“I have already talked about it. I don’t want to say something and take a responsibility on me. Let them try! This is all I can say; they have time, so can try”.
In the end Former Armenian Prime Minister said he thinks that the change of the governmental system will give nothing to Armenia.
