Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili met with the U.S. State Secretary Philip Gordon.
The parties positively assessed the elections held in Georgia and expressed hope that the building of democratic institutions will continue in the future.
Philip Gordon congratulated Bidzina Ivanishvili on winning at the elections. For his part, Prime Minister, on behalf of the Georgian people thanked Philip Gordon for the work done in Georgia.
At the meeting they touched upon the recent arrests of high-ranking officials, and, as the prime minister noted, the government of Georgia will not allow selective justice.
“During my visit to Europe, I convinced everyone that the processes will be transparent and I assure you too. Our government will not allow selective justice “- said Ivanishvili.
