Prime Minister TigranSargsyan met with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Acting Patrice Coeur-Bizot.This was reported by the government’s information and public relations department.
Welcoming the guest, the Prime Minister said.”I’m glad to cooperate in the implementation of serious programs.We attach great importance to works of the United Nations Development Program in the Office of the Republic of Armenia and we consider the programs of the last 20 years successful. ”
The sides noted with satisfaction that since 1992 Armenia has been actively involved in the framework ofthe United Nations organization’s activities and now collaborates with many organizations and agencies.In this context, the sides stressed the importance of the joint program of the Millennium Development Goals.
Patrice Coeur-Bizot assured that taking into account the high level of cooperation in the framework of the organization, the UNDP-supported projects will continue.He noted that the region’s economic performance has been quite good and appreciated the steps taken by the RA Government to improve the business environment.
