Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany in Armenia Rainer Morel.
A. Gevorgyan highly assessed the current level of cooperation between Armenia and Germany. He expressed satisfaction with the support programs in regions and communities, stressing the formation of effective interaction with the German Development Bank (KfW) and the German International Cooperation (GIZ) in the areas of drinking water supply, solid waste management, community development databases, the development of local democratic institutions.
Referring to the Armenian-German Intergovernmental Commission session on the Financial and Technical Cooperation held in Yerevan on November 14-15, A. Gevorgyan welcomed the results of the many projects in the framework of bilateral cooperation in the development of infrastructure in regions.
Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that Armenia and Germany can also effectively interact in decentralized cooperation format. Ambassador also noted that the Armenian-German relations are developing effectively and promised to do more to deepen the bilateral ties.
