Stepan Safaryan, from “Heritage” faction, on November 16 had a press-conference and said that he invites his Republican opponent Robert Sargsyan for a debate.
Note, Stepan Safaryan and Robert Sargsyan are nominated in constituency N 1 for MP position.
According to Safaryan, he wants to have the debate so the voters will make a final decision and decide who will be elected.
Safaryan stressed that he tried to be as fair as possible: “I didn’t organize any pre-election campaigns before November 4, but my opponent, Sargsyan, has done some campaigns before that data” said Safaryan adding “I think that the other nominated political figure, Eduard Petrosyan, is been nominated for just “stealing” some votes; he can’t compete with us.”
We should recall that Repoublican Robert Sargsyan is Taron Margaryan’s (Mayor of Yerevan) relative.
