On November 15 Chairman of the “Republic” party Aram Sargsyan held a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern.
The information service of the party informs that during the meeting the sides discussed Aram Sargsyan’s visit to the U.S. weeks ago and the meetings with American political and social circles. Ideas were exchanged on democracy, economy, regional developments in Armenia and issues related to the NKR conflict. The parties especially stressed the importance of public confidence in the electoral and political processes. They also touched upon the “Republic” party’s and Aram Sargsyan’s approaches to the upcoming presidential election.
The meeting was attended also by the U.S. Embassy political officer Chris Anderson, an expert on political issues Tatevik Melikyan and member of the “Republic” party Artak Zeynalyan.
