Georgian media reports that President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili and the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy held a meeting in Brussels.
As reported, the sides discussed the progress made by Georgia in recent years.
The President of the European Council particularly highlighted the results achieved by the former Government of Georgia in the way of integration into the European structures.
As reported, Herman Van Rompuy underlined Georgia’s achievements in this direction and expressed hope that this course will be continued by the new government of Georgia.
President of Georgia, in his turn, expressed his willingness to “work wonders” on the path of Georgia’s European integration, if the country does not fall the victim to confrontations.
“If we succeed, we will be able not only to sign an agreement, but also to become full members of the EU,” said Saakashvili.
