On November 14, the RA chief of police, Lieutenant-General Vladimir Gasparyan received the Ambassador of the United States to the Republic of Armenia John Heffern.
Welcoming the guest, Vladimir Gasparyan expressed his appreciation for the cooperation of the RA police and the U.S. Embassy, which has given the essential results in the technical equipment and modernization of the educational institutions, organization of community police, personnel training and in a number of other areas.
John Heffern was also interested in the road police reforms.
Vladimir Gasparyan said that in parallel with the carried out reforms, the process of installing the road cameras is going on.
U.S. Ambassador spoke about the issue of organization of the police service at the upcoming presidential election.
Vladimir Gasparyan said that they have already achieved considerable experience in parliamentary and local government elections.
During the meeting, they also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
