Azerbaijani sources report that the ruling New Azerbaijan party is preparing the lists of individuals who will collect signatures for their candidate in the presidential elections.
“We are conducting the courses for these people. Moreover, we are working with people who will observe the elections,” said Deputy Executive Secretary, MP Siyavush Novruzov said in interview.
According to Novruzov, the ruling party focuses on the elections a year before the presidential elections.
“The report-election conferences are held in all district party organizations, the reports are received, their activity is analyzed a year before the elections,” he said. “If the work of chairmen does not meet the requirements, then they are replaced. Others go away after reaching a certain age.”
He said that the first condition for the party’s success is its candidate and noted that Azerbaijani people love their President and will vote for him at the next elections.
“The second condition is the program of the candidate. In this sense, our candidate has enough arguments. This is a development process in the country, poverty eradication, development and modernization of the regions, improving the lives of Azerbaijani citizens, the progress made in all areas.”
Note that the presidential elections in Azerbaijan will be held next year.
