Today in the Appellate Court took place the trial of the ANC sentenced opposition activists. The court rejected all the motions of the defendants lawyer Stepan Voskanyan. S. Voskanyan petitioned the court, inviting for questioning as a witness in the case policeman Shahen Harutyunyan and find out how he recorded the video of the case. According to the lawyer, the victim gave evasive answers concerning the phone in the first instance court.
The court rejected to call for questioning witness Nshe Modoyan. According to the lawyer and the testimony, Modoyan saw the fight between the citizens and the police, and how one of the officers hit a man on the face. Attorney H. Martirosyan, protested the motion, claiming that Modoyan wasn’t in the country, according to the documents submitted to the court of first instance, although it is not really so, Modoyan just didn’t wanted to come to court as a witness.
The court also declined to invite Ani Gevorgyan, Hayk Gevorgyan, Vahagn Hovakimyan to court as witnesses.
