Aravot.am news agency interviewed Artsvik Minasyan, MP from ARF faction, and the main topic of the discussion was ANC faction’s suggestion on increasing the funding of the Science field.
According to Minasyan ARF is against the suggestion:
“First of all I should mention they I don’t accept the word optimization. It is not the right word for our current situation. Because of trying to have optimization, we have had many negative effects in our country. What concerns Hrant Bagratyan’s (ANC member) suggestion, about concrete percentage to increase the funding in science field, I think it can’t be realized in our country. In order to demand certain percentage from the state budget, the country must be very developed, but now we don’t have it in our country ” said Minasyan adding “ARF has 2 projects concerning Science field; the first is that the in the increase of the science field, the employer, the government and the scientific organizations must participate in it. As the result we will have a benefit from 3 sides and it will help our government, nation and the field. The second project is connected with offer of increase in the field by 1.3 billion AMD. I thank our scientists who offered that suggestion and I hope it will be realized.”
