Today in the meeting with the journalists the head of the “Armenia” international airports company, Marcelo Vende mentioned the Italian company “Alitalia” will start its flights to Armenia from December.
The ambassador of Italy to Armenia, Bruno Scapini told that this opportunity will complement to the deepening of the bilateral relations between the two countries and that a direct flights are of vital importance for Armenia. The ambassador mentioned that considering the current geopolitical state of Armenia and that fact that it has no sea borders these flights will broaden the perspectives between Italy and Armenia.
According to “Alitalia” regional chief manager Giovanni Simonini there will be two flights in a week, the ticket to Rome will cost 299 euros. The plane will land in Rome at 7 am. Simonini mentioned they were well aware how many Armenians are spread all over the world and that they will be glad to help. The manager also excluded the possibility of buying “Armavia”
