Bako Sahakyan, president of NKR, on November 8, in Moscow, participated in the “Armenia” Pan-Armenian fund’s ceremony and made the following greeting speech:
“Dear compatriots
I’m glad again to have a chance to meet you and speak about further development of Artsakh.
The Armenian community of Russia is one of the most powerful and old communities that Armenia has. After Artsakh got its independence your community participated in every action in order to develop our nation and fatherland. I can’t remember a single activity which was done without your community. After a short time the construction of a new hospital, with modern equipment in it, will be finished in Stepanakert. We have reconstructed many schools and all these are done by your support.
In many different areas of the country the roads and other important constructions are being held. I should stress once again that our Russian community has its great role in the mentioned activities held in NKR. Some of them are in the hall and I want to thank all of them for their support.
Today we have gathered here to develop our country, to support our nation as much as possible. This year was very significant for our nation; we celebrated the 20h anniversary of NKR’s army and Shushi’s independence. “Armenia” Pan-Armenian fund is very important for our nation since it gathers all Armenians in the world and they try to help the development of our country.
I’m more than confident that if we are together and have a strong will, we can overcome all the difficulties which we face now”.
As reported, Speaker of National Assembly of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan, the Armenian bishop Nersesian of the Apostolic Church in New Nakhichevan, Armenian Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan, NKR President’s adviser Armen Isagulov, and others were present at the ceremoly.
