Georgian Rustavi2 reports that according to Georgian Ambassador to NATO, Grigol Mgaloblishvili , NATO has postponed the visit of military representatives from 28 countries – members of the alliance to Georgia for undefined period.
Mgaloblishvili called this decision as “regrettable”, as it is a large-scale and important event which promotes the integration of Georgia into NATO.
“The heads of military missions of all 28 countries – members of NATO was supposed to participate in this visit, which is a very important format for our country,” he said.
As reported, the decision to postpone the visit for an indefinite period is due to the events in Georgia and did not rule out that the reason for this could be the arrest of the chief of the Joint Staff of Georgian Armed Forces, General Giorgi Kalandadze.
