“Heritage” party vice-chairman of the board Armen Martirosyan answered the question of reporters concerning various ANC MPs voting in different ways and whether it can be viewed as a democracy, freedom of expression.
“Of course not. If they are individuals, then let the majority select them to enter parliament. They represent political power, and political power, as a rule, has a common position. It depends on the ideological and political basis. So, I do not think it’s normal. It is possible that an incident happened with me too, when, for example, I pushed the wrong button. But it has never happened at the most important draft bills. When there is a fundamental issue I am very careful not to have such an error to occur. The ANC MPs’ different voting is talking about him controversy within the team. I never considered it normal, and it has nothing to do with democracy.”
