On Wednesday Azerbaijan and the United States signed a memorandum of cooperation, which is to promote economic ties between the two sides.
The main focus for enhanced cooperation is expected to be the sphere of information and communication technologies (ICT).
From the Azerbaijani side the document was signed by Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov, and from the American side – the representative of the U.S. State Department for International Communications and Information Philip Vervier.
The signing of the memorandum was part of the US-Azerbaijani forum on ICT during the 7th Global Internet Governance Forum in Baku.
