Georgian media reports that ex-Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Bacho Akhalaia, was arrested after he was called to Georgian General Prosecutor’s Office to testify as a witness.
As reported, Akhalaia appeared for questioning at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, along with the main lawyer David Dekanoidze.
According to Dekanoidze, Akhalaia charged under article 332 of the Criminal Code of Georgia – abuse of power and during the interrogation sides mainly talked about the time when Akhalaia was Minister of Defense of Georgia.
As a proof of his guilt have taken the testimonies of one of the military officers and Akhalaia was taken out of the main building with the prosecution of special forces.
