Georgian media reports that Joseph Crowley, head of the Poti Port has resigned and according to him Spin Davidson, his deputy, who has already arrived in Poti, will be the Director-General of the port.
“The process of devolution of powers is already underway. It is not associated with the ongoing events. This was planned long before 2-3 months ago. This is a normal part of the business,” said Crowley.
Note, dismissal of more than 500 workers of the port last year and current indefinite strikes, which began six days ago, is associated with Joseph Crowley’s work period.
