Three days ago, the head of “Heritage” party Raffi Hovhannisyan told at a press conference that he intends to run at the presidential elections and promised to answer all the questions on November 5.
Speaking with reporters yesterday about his nomination, Mr. Hovhannisyan noted that he is preparing perhaps for the most important struggle in his life.
“In the political sense this stage is a crucially fatal for me. We finally should have de jure presidency.” he said.
Hovhannisyan also referred to the so-called question of single united opposition candidate, informing that “the” Heritage “will hold its congress on December 15 to decide what they will do at the presidential election and expressed hope that other deputies will also run.
“This is a team candidacy. That candidacy is not a code; that just means- civil society, political parties and intellectuals, and caring citizens. ”
He noted that he didn’t have any negotiation with on the issue of supporting his candidacy, but he is confident that there will be opportunities to consult.
Naturally, one of the most interesting issues for the reporters was related to the incident within “Heritage” faction and the split.
“I am grateful that you are so caring for “Heritage” party’s rating. I remember well that at the previous session in the National Assembly all the critical arrows were directed to “Heritage”, now with retrospect to “Dream team”.”
In this context, Raffi Hovannisian, remembered the version of list of “Heritage” party, according to which the first number should have been Karapet Rubinyan, but it wasn’t presented.
