Iran has recently stopped exporting raw polymer materials to Armenia, which could negatively affect Armenia’s food industry and agricultural sector, according to country’s Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs.
“Iran has stopped exports of some 52 items to foreign countries, as a result of which, the exports of raw polymer materials (Polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene) have been stopped as well. It would require 30-40 days to arrange imports of raw polymer materials from other countries, by a higher price, and that in turn would lead to overall increase of goods’ prices,” said the message of the Union.
